Use CheapAI in Windsurf only if your build exposes a custom OpenAI-compatible endpoint or provider override. If not, use a first-class environment instead.

If your build has a provider override

  • Use the OpenAI-compatible path: https://base.cheap-api.shop/v1
  • Paste your delivered CheapAI key into the provider key field
  • Start with gpt-5.3

If it does not

Use a first-class setup such as OpenAI SDKs, Open WebUI, ChatBox, n8n, or Claude Code instead of forcing an unsupported path.
